The City of Marseille’s public contract
 
The public contract entitled ‘Project management assistance for visual art residencies in Marseille’ was launched by the City of Marseille as part of its cultural programme in 2014. Arts en résidence - National network won this contract in 2015 and 2017 and chose to delegate the creation and implementation of an artistic support service for the City of Marseille's workshops to two of its members: Astérides and Triangle France. Astérides and Triangle France collectively offer support to resident artists in the city’s workshops, in order to develop these artists’ critical, technical and professional skills. This programme also offers visibility and enables them to prepare for the next stages of their career, by acquiring a thorough understanding of the mechanisms and challenges of national and international professional networks. The aim is to strengthen the artists’ practices so that this programme can serve as a springboard for future opportunities.
