Le cneai=

The cneai= is a place for research, production, residency programmes and for the promotion and exhibition of contemporary art. Since 1997, the cneai = has been dedicated to the overlap between theoretical research, experimental practice and support for artists and the public. The cneai = is a contemporary art centre located at the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris, in the 14th arrondissement, and in the town of Poses in Normandy. In addition to its role as an art centre, it houses a large collection of works of art and documents relating to the fields of art publishing, printed images and artists' books. The multi-site art centre has three collections: Yona Friedman, FMRA and Multiples, as well as a publishing house.

The cneai= offers an annual programme of residencies (with two methods of selection - by invitation or through a call for applications). The research/creation programme works by invitation and is based on the centre's artistic and cultural work. The two springboard residencies, for which calls for applications are published, focus on savoir-faire, in line with the arts professions department of the Seine-Eure conurbation, where the Maison flottante is located. Set in a rural area, the Maison flottante opens its doors to the public during each residency, giving residents the opportunity to showcase their work and build connections.
From time to time, creation/educational projects in schools, medical or social settings or prisons can be developed at the Maison flottante, in conjunction with local professionals.
